Web Archive Collections at the Center for Jewish History

The Center for Jewish History has, in collaboration with the Internet Archive, has created a web archive of the websites, content, and peripheral web-based applications of websites chosen by the Center for Jewish History and its five partner organizations to better fulfill their collecting missions.

This web archive contains the websites of the Center for Jewish History; its partner institutions: American Jewish Historical Society, American Sephardi Federation, Leo Baeck Institute, Yeshiva University Museum, YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, and other organizations that occupy office space at CJH. Websites include event listings, calendars, online exhibitions, news, and press releases, videos, and audio from events, blogs highlighting collections at the partner institutions, digital publications, research guides, encyclopedias, conference materials and other information documenting the organizations.

The collection can be accessed via the Guide to the Web Archive Collections at the Center for Jewish History, and via the CJH collection link at the Internet Archive.

Archive-It

For its web archive CJH employs Archive-It—subscription web archiving service from the Internet Archive that helps organizations to harvest, build, and preserve collections of digital content. Archive-It partners can collect, catalog, and manage their collections of archived content with 24/7 access and full-text search available for their use as well as their patrons. CJH content is hosted and stored at the Internet Archive data centers.
